Red Green Ace - No Longer Verified On the 16th November 2014, the final day of the ATP tennis season, Red Green Ace mailed Sports Tipsters to say that it would be discontinuing its activity for the 2015 season. It has to be presumend that this was on account of the poor record verified by Sports-Tipsteres, which closed with a yield of -8.7% from 85 picks. Of course, this is really only a small sample. Furthermore, with earlier results posted on its Blogabet (the pages has since been deleted) and BettingAdvice pages included, overall the tipsters responsible for Red Green Ace were still profitable. In this instance, however, perhaps it was recognised that the stresses of extending losing periods was something this duo was unwilling to deal with and took the option to fold their service. Or perhaps this duo did not sufficiently understand that small samples of tips, either profitbale or unprofitbale, don't tell much of a story. The evolution of Red Green Ace, where some early profitability on a forum blog precipitates the creation of a website to sell tips, the subsequent unprofitability of that website, followed by service closure, is sadly all too common in sports tipping. It represent the norm rather than the exception. The creation of the website is nothing more than surviroship bias - tipsters posting on blogs who lose money don't go on to make websites selling tips, and overconfidence - those tipsters wrongly believe that their initial profits were caused by them when in fact in the vast majority of cases it was just luck. This is the amateurism of sports tipping.
