Soccer Value Bets (or SVBets) utilises mathematical analysis to predict results for various football betting-markets, including 1X2, total goals (90-minute and 45-minute) and correct score. Staking is advised according to the Kelly Criterion. Proofed from 31st August to 30th September 2013.
The following comments represent the opinions of Sports-Tipsters only. Proofing was terminated because Sports-Tipsters noted a few occasions where prices advised clearly represented palpable errors on the part of the bookmaker (for example 1.65 where the market average was 1.23, 1.83 with an average of 1.26). Inclusion of these bets is automated by SVBets and the system appears unable to filter bookmaker errors before advice is sent to the subscriber. Thus, the inclusion of such bets could create an inaccurate view of what would be achievable in the real world by most subscribers, where such bookmakers will either void such bets or mark and subsequently limit or ban customers repeating such betting practices. Because the service appeaers to be based on finding arithmetic value in the odds, it is probable that punters may begin to experience staking limitation from some bookmakers which are less tolerant of such betting patterns. Sports-Tipsters has been banned from several bookmakers following similar strategies in the past. Additionally, a proportion of bets is advised with Interwetten, who refuse to accept UK customers. In itself, the system used by SVBets will undeniably be one that can find a lowish but statistically siginficant long term profitable yield (even after errors have been removed from the record), which is better than most tipsters are capable of. However, given the problems identified, Sports-Tipsters has taken the decision not to continue to proof the service any longer. This decision should not be seen to detract from SVBets, it is merely a decision of practicality on the part of Sports-Tipsters which attempts to publish as much as is practically possible realistically achieveable betting records.
